Cyclist Amy Gillett's body on way home
The body of Australian cyclist Amy Gillett will arrive home in Melbourne, a week after she was killed in a freak accident in Germany.
Her husband Simon Gillett left Germany with his wife's coffin and is due to arrive in Melbourne after a stop-over in Sydney.
The champion cyclist's funeral, followed by a memorial service, will be held on Friday in Ballarat.
A second memorial service will be held at Adelaide's Super-Drome the following Friday, August 5.
Gillett was killed instantly when a car driven by an 18-year-old novice driver ploughed into six riders from the Australian Institute of Sport last Monday.
The other five Australians were injured, two critically.
