League legend Mortimer hurt in car crash
Rugby league legend Steve Mortimer has suffered a fractured jaw and facial injuries in a car crash.
The 53-year-old former Australian and NSW representative was taken to Bathurst Hospital after the accident.
The former Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs halfback's Subaru Outback and a Toyota Landcruiser collided on the Mitchell Highway at The Rocks, near Bathurst, at about 6pm (AEST) on Saturday.
An 18-year-old man driving the Landcruiser was unhurt.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident and have urged witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
