"Insulted" Lillee quick to help
Test legend Dennis Lillee says he was insulted by Cricket Australia's proposals to cut his pay and workload with the country's young fast bowlers.
But Lillee, who has quit his 15-year role, says he'll still be available to help Glenn McGrath, Jason Gillespie and Brett Lee privately should they need his expert tutelage.
Lillee quit his role because Cricket Australia wanted to cut his pay and work only with the national squad and the Centre of Excellence players instead of junior and state squads.
He's told Channel Nine's A Current Affair he loved his job and felt the proposed pay cuts devalued his coaching.
