We don't have a good name: Rogers
Cronulla boss Steve Rogers has admitted the NRL club's discipline problem had reared its head again and would need to be addressed before the start of next season.
The Sharks were involved in a running battle with referee Tim Mander on Saturday night during their loss to Melbourne, conceding 10 penalties and having two players sent to the sin bin.
Another player - centre Ryan McGoldrick - was placed on report by Mander as the Sharks frittered away their chance to move into the top eight.
It's a problem Rogers believes the club needs to fix when the season is over.
"We haven't got a good name," Rogers said.
"It's something we will deal with and address in the off-season, something we don't want moving forward."
It's the second prominent time this season the Sharks' on-field discipline has let them down.
In April, coach Stu Raper addressed the players over the matter.
"It's something we have gone full circle with," Rogers said.
"A year ago we were probably one of the most penalised sides in the competition.
