Australia's Loudy Tourky and Irina Lashko came sixth and seventh in the three-metre springboard diving at the Olympics.

Two-time world champion Guo Jingjing gave China their fifth straight women's Olympic three-metre springboard title.

She lead a Chinese 1-2 ahead of teammate Wu Minxia, with Yulia Pakhalina of Russia taking the bronze.

Guo keeps the title which China first won in 1988 when Gao Min achieved the first of two titles, a feat then repeated by Fu Mingxia.

It is the second Olympic gold here for Guo, runner-up in Sydney to the now-retired Fu, who claimed the synchronised springboard title a week ago with Wu.
