Great Scott clinches Scandinavian crown
Australia's Adam Scott won the fourth European Tour title of his career when he clinched the Scandinavian Masters by two shots.
Scott, who had shared the overnight lead, carded a final round 69 for a tournament score of 11-under-par 277 with England's Nick Dougherty two shots behind.
Dougherty had birdied the last hole to take second spot with Luke Donald, Andrew Coltart and Robert Karlsson taking third place on eight under.
"It was a real relief to go out and play well," said the 23-year-old Australian who won 316,660 euro ($A549,756.94) to take his career earnings past the three million euros mark.
"I kept calm but there were some really crucial times when I had to hole some putts to keep myself in front and I was pleased that I managed to do that."
Dougherty, who suffers from glandular fever, also had the added satisfaction of making sure of his Tour card for next year.
The victory came at a convenient time for Scott who had missed the cut in his previous three events since finishing eighth in the defence of his Scottish PGA Championship.
Scott, who did not have a single three-putt in the tournament, bounced back from a bogey on the 14th to hit consecutive birdies.
He had started the day tied with Dutchman Maarten Lafeber on eight under but the pair had already been caught by the earlier starters before they teed off.
Scott went back in front with a birdie on the second, but then suffered a bogey four on the fourth.
