Australia extends one-day supremacy
Australia's comfortable 2-0 victory in the final of the VB Series improved its rating at the top of the ICC One-Day International Championship table to a massive 137 points.
The rating is now one point higher than when it won the ICC Cricket World Cup in South Africa without losing a match, reflecting its continued dominance of the ODI game.
India was unchanged after five wins and five defeats in the series that also involved winless Zimbabwe.
India went into the series in sixth place with a rating of 105 but, though it climbed the table briefly after beating Australia in Brisbane, four successive defeats to the hosts ensured its rating was pegged back to its previous level by the end of the finals.
