QRU elects new chairman
The Queensland Rugby Union announced strategy consultant Ben Kehoe as its new chairman after ARU board member David Crombie stood down from the position.
Kehoe, 53, was elected to the position after Crombie opted to scale back his workload due family and professional commitments.
The change of chairman follows the appointment of former QRU treasurer Theo Psaros as chief executive officer in place of new Reds coach Jeff Miller.
Crombie will continue as a board member of both the QRU and ARU and said he was delighted to hand the chairman's reigns to his Kehoe, first elected to the QRU board in 1997.
"Rugby World Cup, a change of coach and CEO and planning for the new administration building at Ballymore has made 2003 a busy year, and I think it's the right time to step back a little," Crombie said.
