Aussie netballers thrash England A
Australia's netballers enjoyed the perfect preparation for their triangular Test series with England and New Zealand this week when they thrashed England A 63-25.
The Australians out-paced England's second-string team, Susan Pratley shooting 20 from 21 attempts and vice-captain Sharelle McMahon 14 from 15 in the first half in Manchester.
In the second half, Kristen Hughes scored 11 from 13 attempts and Catherine Cox 18 from 19.
Selina Gilsenan, who switched from wing defence to centre at halftime was named player of the match, while captain Liz Ellis was also dominant.
Joanne Harten top-scored for England A with 14 from 18 attempts.
Australia meet the top-ranked Silver Ferns in the early hours of Wednesday morning Australian time.
It will be their first encounter since Australia won their three-Test series 2-1 in New Zealand in October.
The Australians play England early Friday (AEST).
