The AFL has released scheduling details of the second week of the finals series, with the loser of Friday night's Geelong-Hawthorn qualifying final to play at the MCG a week later.

The loser of the Geelong-Hawthorn clash will host the winner of Saturday night's elimination final between St Kilda and Sydney.

Unless West Coast can upset premiership favourites Collingwood in Saturday's qualifying final at the MCG, the Eagles will host a semi-final at Patersons Stadium on Saturday September 17 at 7.50pm AEST.

The Eagles, if they lose this week, will host the winner of Sunday's Carlton-Essendon elimination final.

Should the Magpies lose to West Coast, then Collingwood will host the winner of the Carlton-Essendon game at the MCG at 7.20pm on Saturday September 17.
