Eade to be considered by Crows: Bickley
Adelaide caretaker coach Mark Bickley expects Rodney Eade to be "really strongly considered" for the Crows' head coaching job.
Eade, a self-described career coach, was sacked as coach of the Western Bulldogs on Wednesday.
He plans to complete the season with the Bulldogs while being a prime target for the Crows and Melbourne, seeking a replacement for the sacked Dean Bailey.
Bickley, appointed Adelaide's caretaker coach until season's end, has yet to decide whether to apply for the permanent position.
But he had no doubt Eade would be a competitor for the Adelaide position.
"I'm not sure of Rodney, what he is going to do next, but I think I have heard him say that he's a career coach," Bickley told reporters on Wednesday.
"So I would expect he may very well be interested, so I guess he would be a competitor and someone who would be really strongly considered for a club like this."
Bickley maintained his stance of waiting until the end of the season to decide whether to pitch for the full-time job.
"It makes even more sense to me now that it was a smart decision to say `let's wait for the six weeks'," he said.
"I have talked about having all the information in front of me, who knows who else might be there.
"I have got some thoughts in my head but ... let's wait until the end of the six weeks and we'll make a decision then.
"There is no timeframe that has been put on me so let's just wait and let it run."
