Bulldogs hope SA trip ends losing streak
Western Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade is hopeful an interstate trip will galvanise his AFL side, which is aiming to snap a three-game losing streak.
The Bulldogs play Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on Sunday, but have not beaten the Crows at the ground since 2001.
But Eade said the timing was right for a trip away to help his side regain its focus, following defeats to West Coast, Carlton and St Kilda, which has the Bulldogs among a cluster of eight sides with 3-3 win-loss records.
"The players have mentioned that during the week and they're looking forward to that aspect," Eade said of getting out of Melbourne.
"It can galvanise a group and bring them tighter together, even though our group is reasonably tight.
"Having the trip away maybe narrows the focus a bit more, which is good."
Eade was confident tall defender Tom Williams would return from a foot injury.
The Bulldogs will name an expanded squad later on Thursday.
