Dragons not in a slump, claims Scott
Ignorance is bliss for St George Illawarra hardman Beau Scott, who says he has no idea where talk the NRL premiers are on the slide is coming from.
The Dragons have let leads of 18-6 and 20-0 slip against sides outside the top eight in the past two weeks and slumped to fifth on the ladder.
They have lost five of their past seven games and coach Wayne Bennett questioned the side's hunger after Sunday's capitulation to South Sydney.
"I'm not sure where the talk's coming from to tell the truth," Scott told reporters.
"I think we're going along pretty well, we've just had a couple of hiccups in the last couple of weeks.
"We know how to win games, we've just got to play for the 80 minutes more than anything (on Friday) night (against the Wests Tigers) and I guess that's one of our goals.
"We've been starting our games really well, we just haven't been playing for the whole 80 minutes."
The NSW State of Origin star claimed to have no knowledge of Bennett's pointed and highly publicised comments after the 34-24 loss to the Rabbitohs at WIN Stadium.
Scott said the Dragons players had not discussed the remarks, which included Bennett's insistence it was up to them to fix the problem.
Tigers captain Robbie Farah said the premiers were still to be feared.
"Every team has their slumps," he said.
"A few weeks ago the knives were out on us, saying that our season was over.
"We seem to have found a bit of consistency in the last few weeks so it doesn't take much to get that back.
"I don't think they've lost their aura or too much confidence in any way."
