Hindmarsh ready for Manly test
Parramatta captain Nathan Hindmarsh has identified Monday night's NRL clash against heavyweights Manly as a key test for the resurgent Eels.
The Eels, who sit in 11th spot on the NRL ladder, face the third-placed Sea Eagles at Brookvale, and will be looking to replicate the sort of performance they produced in their last outing when they drew 14-all with competition leaders St George Illawarra.
Parramatta will have to be at their best to secure a win over the in-form Sea Eagles, who posted a dominant 24-4 win over the Cowboys last week.
"It will be a good test to see where were sitting," said Hindmarsh.
"Manly are travelling really well at the moment, and to go out there and hopefully have a win Monday night it'll be good for us.
"Playing against one of the heavyweights, we'll see where we really are at."
He said while Manly were strong in all positions, their young halves pairing of Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans would be key players to shut down.
"I think their halves are going very well. A couple of young blokes in there doing a really good job," he said.
"You've also got choc Watmough and Stewart there in the back row, and big (George) Rose up the front row in some really good form, so a lot of strength all over the park.
"(Will) Hopoate is a fair blow for them but they'll stick Robo (Michael Robertson) in there, he's done a great job for them before.
"They've got a lot of strength and having (Brett) Stewart back there has added to what they already had."
