Giansiracusa out of Freo clash
Experienced Western Bulldogs forward Daniel Giansiracusa has been ruled out of Monday's AFL match against Fremantle with a hamstring injury.
The Dogs have also lost potential replacement Patrick Veszpremi to injury, while defender Tom Williams left the training track early on Wednesday to add to their concerns.
Giansiracusa strained a hamstring at training last week and was ruled out after failing to join his teammates on Wednesday.
"We won't be taking a risk with him," Eade said.
"I think that he'll miss one, he'll miss this week, but probably is a chance for the week after.
"But we've got a six-day break so we'll probably have to weigh that up next week and see how he is."
Eade said Giansiracusa's absence would have put former Sydney player Veszpremi in the frame for a Dogs debut, but he also had to be ruled out after breaking a finger at training.
That could open the door for father-son draftee Mitch Wallis to make his AFL debut in the Perth clash.
Brodie Moles and Nathan Djerrkura are others in contention.
Eade was also confident Williams would take his place, despite back spasms forcing him off the training track early.
He was hopeful the tall backman would be able to prove his fitness at training on Friday.
