Bulldogs name four newcomers for Bombers
The Western Bulldogs have named four newcomers, including father-son recruit Tom Liberatore, for Sunday's AFL clash with Essendon at Etihad Stadium.
Liberatore, son of former Brownlow Medallist Tony, will make his AFL debut, but fellow draftee Mitch Wallis, son of former Dogs star Steve, is only an emergency.
Fullback Lukas Markovic, who spent time on Hawthorn's rookie list and in the VFL before joining the Dogs last year, will play his first AFL match.
AFL-experienced recruits Justin Sherman, formerly of Brisbane, and Nathan Djerrkura, from Geelong, will play their first game with the Dogs.
The Bulldogs named Will Minson as an emergency, leaving Ben Hudson as their only recognised ruckman.
The Bombers have handed an AFL debut to Dyson Heppell.
North Melbourne's Cameron Pedersen, Cameron Richardson and Shaun Atley will make their AFL debuts against West Coast in Perth on Sunday, while the Eagles will blood Jack Darling.
Melbourne will hand Luke Tapscott his first AFL match against Sydney at the MCG, with the Swans giving a debut to Byron Sumner.
Ex-Bulldog Andrejs Everitt will also play his first game for the Swans, while young key forward Sam Reid will play his second, after making his debut in round 22 last year.
