Springbok Bakkies Botha to join Toulon
Springboks lock Bakkies Botha has signed a three-year deal to join big-spending French club Toulon after the World Cup.
Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal told regional newspaper La Provence that Botha, who currently plays for the Bulls, "is perfectly fitting Toulon's criteria, which means that he is a high-power lock."
Botha is the latest high-profile signing of Toulon, which already has 2003 World Cup-winning England flyhalf Jonny Wilkinson, Wales centre Gavin Henson and Argentina center Felipe Contepomi in its team.
Australian star Matt Giteau has also signed a three-year deal to join the club after the 2011 World Cup.
Botha was part of the South Africa team which won the World Cup in 2007.
