Wales prop Jenkins out of Six Nations
Wales prop Gethin Jenkins has been ruled out of the Six Nations because of a toe injury.
The Cardiff Blues loosehead, who has played 76 internationals for Wales, will undergo surgery on Wednesday and is expected to be out for 10 weeks.
The 30-year-old Jenkins has been hit by injuries in recent seasons, missing most of last year's Six Nations with a calf problem.
The absence of Jenkins means Paul James is likely to play loosehead when Wales opens their Six Nations campaign against England on February 4.
Wales coach Warren Gatland has already lost Richie Rees for the tournament after the scrumhalf was banned for 12 weeks for making contact with the eye area of Northampton hooker Dylan Hartley in a European Cup match.
