Rugby star Tindall to wed Zara Phillips
Buckingham Palace has announced that Queen Elizabeth II's grand daughter Zara Phillips is engaged to her long-term boyfriend, England rugby star Mike Tindall.
The palace said on Tuesday that 29-year-old Phillips, who is 12th in line to the throne, had accepted a proposal from Tindall.
Phillips is the daughter of Princess Anne and her ex husband Capt. Mark Phillips, and is the queen's eldest granddaughter.
She has a successful career as an equestrian.
Her cousin, Prince William, announced his engagement to Kate Middleton last month.
Tindall was the inside centre for England when they won the 2003 World Cup in Australia.
The 32-year-old has 66 international caps and played in England's recent win over Australia on the Wallabies' Spring Tour of Europe.
