Travel won't worry us say Blues
Carlton might have run up more frequent flyer miles than any other club by the end of this weekend but are adamant the schedule will not affect them against Sydney.
The Blues travelled to Fremantle last weekend and on Friday flew to Sydney to meet the Swans in the elimination final at ANZ Stadium.
But midfielder Kade Simpson said the team could adapt to both the flights and the venue, where the Swans have more experience.
"We're feeling fresh and had a light week on the track and we're ready for the Swans," Simpson said.
"It's only an hour's flight so we'll go up a couple of days early and get used to it up there."
Carlton has not played at ANZ Stadium for seven years and Simpson said the team needed to familiarise themselves quickly.
"I don't think there would be too many blokes who have played there so we've got a training session booked there for tomorrow.
"Hopefully the weather's not too bad and we'll have a good run around and get used to the surface and have a good look at it," he said.
While Adam Goodes looms as a major hurdle for Carlton, Simpson said the side had talent across all lines.
"He's such a great player but they're such an even side all over the ground and that's what they base everything on so we've got to match all of them."
Simpson said the ruck should be a key area for both sides.
"Last time they got us from centre clearances at Etihad (Stadium) so that's one focus that's been looked at and something we're looking to improve.
"By the first quarter it was pretty much over then it was pretty even for the rest of the game.
"They definitely blew us away so the start of the game's going to be a big focus and the intensity will be up being a final.
Andrew Carrazzo joined the team despite doubts over a hamstring problem but Simpson was confident the tagger would be fit.
