Goodwin, McLeod future unclear: Craig
Adelaide coach Neil Craig doesn't know if his AFL superstars Andrew McLeod and Simon Goodwin will play again.
Crows captain Goodwin has missed the past two matches with an Achilles complaint, while McLeod's troublesome right knee has restricted him to just one of the past six games.
Both will miss Adelaide's away game against Richmond on Sunday, with Craig uncertain when they will return.
"They both have been a lit brittle slow (recovering)," Craig said on Friday.
"Simon is slowly improving, as is Andrew ... hopefully they will both be able to play again this year, I really do hope that."
Goodwin has already announced he will retire at season's end, with McLeod expected to follow suit, raising the prospect both may have played their last games.
"I don't know," Craig said.
"It could be that Goodwin trains next week, that is the nature of the injury.
"We have just got to wait for Andrew's knee to settle, obviously it wasn't quite right.
"You cannot expose those players to game type (pressures) - you can give it to them in the intensity of it, but the movements, the involuntary movements, is what you can't reproduce.
"Fingers crossed that they will both be available sooner rather than later."
