Broken jaw fear for Dutch midfielder
Dutch midfielder Demy de Zeeuw could be ruled out of the World Cup final after suffering a suspected broken jaw in his team's 3-2 semi-final victory over Uruguay.
Coach Bert van Marwijk said the Ajax star, who came into the side in place of the suspended Nigel de Jong, was undergoing X-rays in hospital.
De Zeeuw suffered the injury when he was accidentally kicked in the face by Uruguay defender Martin Caceres in the first half of the semi-final on Tuesday (Wednesday AEST).
