Kookaburras book men's semi spot
Australia will play Spain in its Olympic Games men's hockey semi-final after losing its final Pool B match 2-1 to The Netherlands.
Two first half penalty corners to Teake Taekema sank the Kookaburras, who pulled one back late in the half through striker Travis Brooks.
Both teams had qualified for the semi-finals prior to the match, but were playing for first and second spots in the pool.
The result means Australia finished second in Pool B and will play Spain, which finished top of Pool A, in its semi-final on Wednesday.
The Dutch, who topped Pool B, will play Germany in the other semi.
