Spain sweats on Torres, Alonso injuries
Spain is hoping Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso recover from minor injuries picked up in the win over Chile to be ready for its last 16 World Cup match against Portugal.
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque said Torres "has a small muscle worry, nothing to do with his previous injury".
He substituted the striker in the 55th minute as Spain held off Chile in the second half to win 2-1.
Torres started for only the second time since undergoing surgery on his right knee in April, and Del Bosque expects him to be fit for Tuesday's game.
Alonso came off in the 73rd minute for Javi Martinez after taking a hard knock to his ankle just before halftime.
