More injury woes for Brisbane Lions
Scans have confirmed Brisbane Lions key defender Ash McGrath will be sidelined for up to six weeks with injury.
The Lions said McGrath had suffered a grade two tear in his right hamstring which was expected to keep him out of action for four to six weeks.
In another blow, fellow defender Matt Maguire's MRI scans have revealed he has tendonitis in his left foot.
He will be required to rest for two to four weeks.
The injury woes were another headache for Lions coach Michael Voss as he prepared to steer his team out of a form slump and keep their slim AFL finals hopes alive against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday.
After starting the season with four straight wins, the Lions have lost six of their last seven matches.
