Lions' Dalziell out with knee injury
To add injury to insult, the Brisbane Lions have lost midfielder Bradd Dalziell for up to three months with a knee injury following Sunday's 93-point AFL thumping at Geelong.
It is another major headache for coach Michael Voss who also has ruckmen Jamie Charman (ankle) and Matthew Leuenberger (knee) on the long-term injury list.
Voss said Dalziell had sustained a posterior cruciate ligament injury.
He said youngsters Sam Sheldon and Matt Austin would be considered for Saturday night's Gabba clash with Essendon.
Voss warned that many players should be concerned about their place in the side after the "embarrassing" display against the red-hot Cats.
