Humphries back to bolster Reds
Veteran forward Van Humphries has returned from injury to bolster Queensland's pack for Saturday night's Super 14 clash against the Blues at Ballymore.
Reds coach Ewen McKenzie has named Humphries (head knock) in the second row, replacing injured skipper James Horwill, but brought hooker Hardman back from an ankle problem on the bench.
McKenzie has shown faith in young rake Saia Faingaa who impressed in his first run-on start in the 41-21 upset of the Crusaders last weekend.
Hardman had initially been given little chance of a quick return following his injury in the season opener against NSW, but has completed all training sessions this week, to be cleared to play.
Young flanker Jake Schacz has retained his position in the back row following his eye catching debut against the Crusaders.
Half-back Will Genia will captain the Reds in Horwill's absence, while former Blues flanker Daniel Braid will be vice-captain against his former Auckland team mates.
Queensland: Peter Hynes, Digby Ioane, Morgan Turinui, Anthony Faingaa, Rod Davies, Quade Cooper, Will Genia (Capt), Scott Higginbotham, Daniel Braid, Jake Schatz, Van Humphries, Adam Byrnes, Laurie Weeks, Saia Faingaa, Ben Daley. Reserves: Sean Hardman, Greg Holmes, Robert Simmons, Leroy Houston, Richard Kingi, Tim Walsh, Will Chambers.
