Hall to tempt Spida north
Sydney skipper Barry Hall will entice his good mate Peter Everitt to join the AFL premiers for next season.
Hall said he would chat with his former St Kilda teammate about the possibility of the now gun Hawthorn ruckman moving north to Sydney.
"I speak to him fairly regularly, I am sure it will come up in conversation," Hall told AAP during Sydney's victory parade in the Harbour City.
The man better known as "Spida" is one of the best ruckmen in the business and would be a brilliant addition for the Swans.
Sydney's current No.1 ruckman Darren Jolly said Everitt would be an excellent pick-up following the retirement of two-time premiership player Jason Ball.
"If Sydney had that option to get him down, it would be fantastic, we would have a really strong ruck combination," said Jolly.
Swans onballer Brett Kirk definitely felt there was a place in the team for the master tap ruckman.
"It is public knowledge we are looking for a ruckman, if Spida's interested, he's an All-Australian ruckman, so why wouldn't you (want him)," Kirk said.
Everitt, 31, who made his AFL debut in 1993, is desperate to play in a premiership team before he retires.
The Sydneysiders should not have major problems fitting him under the salary cap following the retirements of Stuart Maxfield, Ball, Andrew Schauble and Matthew Nicks.
