Storm ready for Cayless
Melbourne back-rower Ryan Hoffman says the Storm are preparing to face Parramatta skipper Nathan Cayless despite the Eels big man being in severe doubt for Sunday's NRL grand final.
Cayless will have a fitness test at Parramatta's final training run on Saturday, after the front-rower strained his hamstring in the early stages of last week's preliminary final win over the Bulldogs.
Young prop Broderick Wright remains on standby, but the Storm are readying themselves as if Cayless is playing.
"I'm sure he'll be doing his hardest to get out on the field. You definitely want to play in a grand final," Hoffman said from the Storm's Coogee hotel in Sydney's eastern suburbs on Friday.
"We're preparing as if he is going to play but that's up to him.
"Hopefully for his sake he does (play) because I missed out on a grand final last year and I know how hard it is."
The Storm were enjoying the day off on Friday with the entire squad heading to the movies in the afternoon before holding a final training run on Saturday.
