Storm coy on 'physical' Broncos forwards
Melbourne are giving little of their intentions away on how to combat a Brisbane Broncos forward pack which has battered NRL finals rivals into oblivion.
If the Storm's preliminary final rivals at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night are to oust the premiership favourites, their forwards loom as the game-breakers.
Led by props Nick Kenny and Ashton Sims, the Broncos were awesome against St George, rattling the minor premiers with every hit especially early in the contest.
Melbourne forward Brett White rated the Broncos the most aggressive forward pack he has seen this season.
But Melbourne's Jeff Lima was non-committal when asked if his side would have to counter physical fire with fire against Brisbane.
"Our game plan is to do what the coach tells us to do," Lima said.
When asked what that was, he said: "Run hard Jeff".
"Their pack was pretty strong and they'll come out firing at the weekend."
While Brisbane have won their past seven matches to move one step away from a grand final considered unlikely two months ago, all were achieved with halfback Peter Wallace at the scrumbase.
But New Zealand powerhouse Lima also shrugged off any suggestion his side saw the Broncos as easier to beat now Wallace was out injured.
"You can't underestimate teams like that. They'll be confident and we've got to be ready on Saturday," Lima said.
