Blair, Elford re-sign with Panthers
Penrith centre Maurice Blair and winger Shane Elford extended their NRL contracts on Monday.
Both Blair and Elford were off-contract at the end of the season but have re-signed with the club on one-year deals.
Elford played his last game in round 22 against St George Illawarra when he suffered a broken eye socket.
Panthers boss Michael Leary hoped the double re-signing would help improve the club's 2009 ladder finish of 11th.
"It's a positive move that is able to keep the playing group together for another season."
Penrith narrowly missed out on making the finals after going down in a "sudden-death" match against Newcastle in round 26.
