Demons re-sign midfielder Morton
Melbourne have re-signed young midfielder Cale Morton for two more years, keeping him at the AFL club until the end of the 2011 season.
Morton, 19, made his debut with the Demons in round one last year and earnt a Rising Star nomination.
He also won the club's best first-year player award.
Morton has played 37 games and filled a variety of roles through the midfield and at either end of the ground.
"It's great to see that Cale has committed to Melbourne, he has developed strongly since arriving at the club and has shown great versatility in his game, being able to play a number of different roles for the team," said Demons official Tim Harrington.
"We have a promising group of young players and Cale is an integral part of our future."
