Koschitzke may only miss one game: Lyon
St Kilda coach Ross Lyon is hopeful Justin Koschitzke will only miss Friday night's AFL match against Port Adelaide.
Koschitzke suffered a hamstring injury in last weekend's big win over Fremantle and had a scan on Monday.
"It's certainly on the lower end and we're hopeful of a week, at worst two," Lyon said.
"It's a challenge for the group to play good football without Justin."
The Saints have had a great start to the season, winning all four games, and this will be only the second time they've had to make a forced change to their side.
Lyon is unsure who will come into the side for Koschitzke, but says there are plenty of players showing strong VFL form.
He has also revealed key defender Max Hudghton is about a week behind schedule as he recovers from the calf muscle injury he suffered in the pre-season.
But Lyon is hopeful Hudghton will be on the verge of a comeback within a month.
