Bulldogs see off Demons for victory
The Western Bulldogs have posted their first AFL pre-season win of the year, beating last year's wooden spooners Melbourne by 38 points at Casey Fields on Saturday.
Josh Hill kicked three goals for the Bulldogs in the 14.17 (101) to 10.3 (63) victory in a match played in rainy conditions.
The game remained in the balance until the final quarter, when the Dogs booted the only five goals of the term and held the Demons scoreless.
It was the Bulldogs' first success ahead of the 2009 season following losses to Essendon, St Kilda and Sydney throughout the NAB Cup and NAB Challenge.
Melbourne forward Brad Green booted three majors, with both clubs fielding near full strength sides.
