Prince hails White as Titans stalwart
Gold Coast captain Scott Prince greeted prop Matt White's selection against his old club Newcastle on Sunday saying it was great to have a player on his side prepared to "run through a brick wall".
White, who has worked tirelessly on his weight and body shape during the off-season, and former Origin front-rower Luke Bailey will provide Prince with an ideal platform to work his special brand of magic.
Prince tipped the 112kg White would add plenty of aggression up front.
"I think he's been great, said Prince of White who'll line-up against his former club at Skilled Park on Sunday with a big point to prove.
"Through the trials he's shown a tough attitude. He really stands up to the opposition forward pack.
"It was really evident against the Warriors forward pack (in last week's trial won 34-12 by the New Zealand side) which is a big strong pack and I thought he held his own.
"It's good to have a guy now within our ranks that shows a lot of aggression and who would run through a brick wall for you if he had to.
"I think we need something like that working with Bull (Luke Baily) up front.
"Bails can play off the back of him and vice versa."
Coach John Cartwright has been able to name a near full strength side first up which includes all his attacking guns - Prince, Mat Rogers, Preston Campbell and new recruit William Zillman who will make his debut as an impact weapon off the bench.
