Langlands rushed to hospital
Rugby league Immortal Graeme Langlands was rushed to hospital on Saturday night after being knocked unconscious when he fell from a car in a motorcade at the World Cup final.
Langlands was put in a neck brace after regaining consciousness, the former Test great sent away for precautionary scans accompanied by fellow Immortal Bob Fulton.
The 67-year-old was sitting on the back of a utility vehicle and had just completed a lap of Suncorp Stadium as part of a motorcade featuring members of the team of the century named earlier this year.
The vehicle had come to a stop and then as it attempted to accelerate over a hump Langlands lost his balance and fell to the ground at which point he lost consciousness for a few moments.
He was revived and assessed by medical officials before being taken away in an ambulance.
