Love reappointed to NSWRL
Colin Love has been re-elected chairman of the NSW Rugby League while South Sydney stalwart George Piggins has been made a life member.
Love, who also chairs the Australian Rugby League and the Rugby League International Federation, will now head into an 11th year in the NSW job .
Piggins, who led the Rabbitohs' fight to be readmitted into the NRL before falling out with co-owners Russell Crowe and Peter Holmes a Court over the privatisation of the club, was one of three new life members elected.
Souths legend Michael Cleary and NSWRL vice president Brian Kurtz were the other two.
"The three new life members have all made an outstanding contribution to rugby league and in particular the NSW Rugby League," NSWRL chief executive Geoff Carr said in a statement.
"It is great to see this honour bestowed on those who thoroughly deserve it."
