Dockers show more faith in Browne
Fremantle have once again taken the plunge on injury-plagued midfielder Andrew Browne, signing up the 24-year-old for the 2009 AFL season.
A series of debilitating hamstring injuries have restricted Browne to just 27 games in five years at the club.
But the Dockers have chosen to persist with the talented on-baller in the hope his unlucky injury run will become a thing of the past.
Browne, taken with pick No.52 in the 2001 national draft, becomes the final member of the current list to re-sign with the club for 2009, leaving Fremantle with a total of 30 contracted players on the main list and two contracted rookies ahead of the drafts.
Rookies Calib Mourish and Chris Smith have been delisted.
General manager of football operations Chris Bond said the club would be adding eight new players to the list via the national or pre-season drafts and six new players via the rookie draft.
The Dockers have picks three, 21, 24, 37, 53 and 56 at November's national draft.
