Hudghton to play on for St Kilda in 2009
St Kilda fullback Max Hudghton has decided to extend his AFL career into a 13th season.
There had been speculation the 32-year-year-old would retire at the end of the current season but he has told the club he wants to play on for one more year in 2009.
Hudghton was the Saints' best player in last weekend's preliminary final loss to Hawthorn, holding Hawks spearhead Lance Franklin to just one goal.
Hudghton has played 227 games for St Kilda, including 23 in an injury-free 2008.
