Carney accused of groping woman
Canberra Raiders star Todd Carney reportedly grabbed a woman on the breast last year at the same nightclub where he allegedly urinated on a man two weeks ago.
The part-owner of Canberra's All Bar Nun nightspot, where Carney was accused of urinating on the head of a patron during a post-match drinking binge, said the halfback was also ejected from the venue in December after a complaint was made.
"There was an incident in December where he grabbed one of our patrons on the breast," nightclub co-owner Andrew Kenny told The Australian newspaper.
"As a result we fielded a complaint and we asked our security to move him on.
"We asked the customers if they wanted to take it any further and they said no.
"As a result we didn't follow that up with the Raiders or anyone else."
Canberra chief executive Don Furner confirmed he knew of the incident but said the complaint was withdrawn.
Carney's NRL future is still in the balance after the Raiders' fined their halfback $20,000, put him on a two-year alcohol ban and ordered him to sit out the rest of the season and undergo counselling if he wanted to remain at the club.
His future is likely to be decided as early as Thursday.
