Bulldogs to play without Griffen
The Western Bulldogs will be without the in-form Ryan Griffen for Sunday's round-15 AFL game against Melbourne at Telstra Dome because of family reasons.
But the Demons will also be without key players, as midfielder Brock McLean will not play again this season because of an injured ankle, while small forward Aaron Davey will miss because of a club-imposed suspension.
North Melbourne dropped four players for Saturday night's vital game against Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.
Needing a win to stay in touch with the top eight, the Kangaroos dropped veteran Shannon Grant - also because of a club-imposed ban - along with Corey Jones, Matt Riggio and Alan Obst.
The Power welcomed back star Chad Cornes from injury.
St Kilda and Carlton were both strengthened by the return of star midfielders for Friday night's eighth-versus-ninth game at the MCG.
The Saints recalled vice-captain Lenny Hayes back from a hamstring injury, while Carlton skipper Chris Judd returned after missing the win over Richmond through suspension.
Judd returned at the expense of Setanta O'hAilpin.
Collingwood named an unchanged line-up for Saturday's game at the MCG against Adelaide, who brought in Jonathon Griffin and Bryce Campbell and the injured Brent Reilly and dropped Nick Gill.
Sydney regained star Adam Goodes from suspension for Sunday's game against Hawthorn at the MCG, and he replaced Barry Hall, who is out indefinitely.
The Hawks expanded their squad with five players including gun midfielders Brad Sewell and Chance Bateman, but fellow onballer Jordan Lewis will miss with a quad injury.
