Buderus 'worthy' of breaking NSW record
Former NSW skipper Brad Fittler says there is no player more worthy of breaking his Blues Origin captaincy record than outgoing hooker Danny Buderus.
Buderus will lead out the Blues for the 15th and final time against Queensland in Wednesday night's Origin decider, eclipsing the mark set by Fittler.
The match in Sydney will be Buderus's final game in the sky blue before the veteran hooker takes up a deal to play with Leeds in the English Super League next season.
The NSW side has been given the day off training on Monday before Tuesday's final run at ANZ Stadium.
