Smith to join Dragons in 2009
St George Illawarra confirmed they had won the battle for Kiwi Test forward Jeremy Smith and lured him away from Melbourne on a three-year deal.
Smith, 28, has been a standout at the Storm this season resulting in his Kiwi selection for the Centenary Test and will join the Dragons until the end of 2011.
A strong and powerful second rower, Smith is a top signing for the Dragons who lost prop Jason Ryles last week with confirmation he would join Les Catalans next year.
Dragons chief executive Peter Doust was happy to secure Smith for 2009.
"Jeremy is a quality International, he can play a number of positions and will bring great experience to our club," said Doust.
