Hansen and LeCras fit for Eagles
West Coast's misfiring forward line is set to receive a timely injection of firepower with centre half-forward Ashley Hansen and goalsneak Mark LeCras both declared fit for Friday night's AFL clash against Essendon at Telstra Dome.
The Eagles (2-9) have averaged just a tick over 77 points a game this season, with their attack ranked above only bottom-placed Melbourne (76.9).
LeCras succumbed to a serious groin injury following West Coast's season-opening triumph over Brisbane, while Hansen played the opening four games of the season under some duress before being cut down by a niggling hamstring injury.
But Eagles coach John Worsfold said both were fit and available for selection against the Bombers.
"He'll be close," Worsfold said of LeCras.
"We'll have a good look at him. He's fit and ready to go."
Worsfold believed Hansen, who was unavailable for selection last week due to a corked buttock, could come straight back into the side.
"I think, going on my memory, I'm pretty sure when Ash has come back from injury he's performed very well," Worsfold said.
"He's available to play and we would consider him this week.
"I think he can certainly play centre half-forward and that's probably his best position."
