AFL prelim finals Friday, Saturday night
This year's AFL grand finalists will have a full week to prepare for the deciding match of the season.
The league confirmed on Wednesday the two preliminary finals would be played on the Friday night and Saturday, which will give both grand final teams at least a full week before they clash at the MCG on Saturday, September 30.
Reigning premier Sydney will host a preliminary final at Telstra Stadium on Friday night (September 22), while Adelaide will host the other preliminary final at AAMI Stadium the next day.
The Swans will play the winner of this Friday night's clash between Fremantle and Melbourne, while the Crows take on the winner of this Saturday night's match between West Coast and the Western Bulldogs.
Ticket sales for this weekend's semi-finals are both strong.
The Eagles-Bulldogs game is sold out, while only 6,500 tickets remain for the Dockers-Demons clash.
Both semi-finals are at Subiaco Oval.
