St Kilda mourns former president Payze
St Kilda is mourning the death of former AFL player and club president Travis Payze.
The 1966 premiership player and Saints president from 1987-92 died at 60 after a long illness.
Payze was an All-Australian in 1972 and played 127 games for St Kilda from 1966-74.
After he retired as a player, Payze became the chairman of selectors at St Kilda before joining the club board.
"Travis was a great club man and a friend to everyone at St Kilda and will be sorely missed," said current president Rod Butterss.
"Our thoughts are with his family during this time."
St Kilda will wear black armbands in Saturday night's game against Brisbane at the Gabba.
