Dane Tilse re-signs with Raiders
Canberra has continued to lock away it's young talent on long term deals with front rower Dane Tilse extending his contract until the end of the 2010 NRL season.
Tilse, who joined the Raiders this year after being sacked by Newcastle and deregistered by the NRL for misconduct during the 2005 pre-season, was already tied to the club until the end of 2008 but extended that by a further two years.
"It's a great feeling to have my future settled and I can concentrate on playing some good football with the Raiders for the rest of this season," Tilse said.
Tilse joins fellow prop Troy Thompson and young halfback Marc Herbert in becoming the first Raiders to commit to the club into the next decade.
"We have a young side here and I think if we can remain together we can be a force in the next few years," Tilse said.
"We just need to make sure we stick together and I'm sure we will do well."
Tilse has been named on the bench for Saturday night's clash with Cronulla at Toyota Park.
