Harvey signs new deal with Kangaroos
Kangaroos midfielder Brent Harvey will mark his new three-year contract with the caretaker captaincy in Saturday's AFL match against Hawthorn.
The new deal, announced on Wednesday, will take Harvey through to his 14th season at Arden St and means the 28-year-old is destined to be a one-club player.
The Kangaroos are rotating the captaincy for the last three games this year, after Adam Simpson had season-ending surgery.
Brady Rawlings was in charge last week and Harvey will try to build on his perfect four-game record as stand-in skipper this week.
"Another three years with the Kangas and that will take me to my 14th season, so I'm very excited," Harvey said.
"I think this bunch of young guys has got a pretty good future at the footy club and that's why I wanted to re-sign."
