Hiddink still looms large over Socceroos
Guus Hiddink's fingerprints are all over the new-look Socceroos squad, but interim coach Graham Arnold is also leaving his mark.
Arnold will guide Australia for the first time in the post-Hiddink era on Wednesday night when his band of A-League stars take on Kuwait in an Asian Cup qualifier at Aussie Stadium.
Arnold admits to following much of Hiddink's formulae which propelled Australia to the second round of World Cup in his preparations.
But he also believes he's added his own little touch.
"I'm a very approachable person, and very open to the group where Guus was pretty much a closed door," Arnold said.
"The players were a little bit more scared to approach Guus, where with myself they know they can always come to me and have a chat to me.
"My style is more of a man-management-type style, where I want to get through to the players, make them feel comfortable and get the best out of them."
