Ponting warns about batting collapses
Australia has wrapped up its one-day series against Bangladesh but captain Ricky Ponting is still searching for answers for his side's batting collapses.
The world No.1 side brushed aside the challenge of the lowly Tigers in the second game of the three-match series with a 67-run victory at Fatullah Stadium onWednesday.
It followed Australia's four-wicket triumph in Chittagong last Sunday.
Australia made good starts in its opening two one-dayers against Bangladesh but then lost 3-13 and 3-10 respectively in Chittagong and Dhaka.
"The only concern that has come out in the last couple of games for us has been the fact that we have lost groups of wickets," Ponting said.
"Some of them we always talk about not doing, but unfortunately we have done it in the last couple of matches, we have another game now to make sure we rectify that."
However the skipper was still pleased with the way Australia has regularly fought its way out of trouble at the end of a packed schedule.
"It is always nice to win any series, we have had to fight quite a bit actually in the last two matches," he said.
"They have both been quite resounding wins but at different times we have had a lot of pressure on us and we have had to get through those tough periods."
The third and final match of the tour is a dead rubber and will be played on Friday at Fatullah Stadium.
